Designed to systematically introduce Fundamental Movement Skills and Technique Concepts in a controlled environment. With a mix of small-group classroom style interactions and guided on-the-wall practical application, you will:
Understand and apply basic body positioning and efficient movement
Identify and use climbing holds effectively
Develop footwork precision and weight-shifting skills
Practice sequencing, route reading, and intentional movement
Provide a clear path forward to practice skills and engage in the gym community
Climbers will get plenty of mileage with which to apply new movement concepts. Solid foundational techniques—footwork, body positioning, and route reading—are the main focus of this class. Participants can expect a demo of skills, bouldering practice, and rope-wall experience; and exposure to teaching methods that will retain information, as well as time for practice and feedback.
